The Jewels of the Earth collection by Aveda is a limited edition makeup collection for Fall 2011. It consists of 6 new Petal Essence Single Eye Colors and 3 new Nourish-Mint Lip Colors. Aveda says that the new collection – created with Janell Geason (Aveda artistic team makeup artist and global educator) - offers “rich, burnished shades with pearlized finishes.”

I say I can’t recall the last time I saw Aveda launch a limited edition collection! I’m a huge fan of their lipsticks and these colors look beautiful so I’m excited about those! I’m also intrigued by the Gaga-esque promo shot that’s being used on all of their posters. I love all the glam and drama (and color)! Here’s hoping the flower wax infused and jojoba oil rich eyeshadow formula improves upon some of Aveda’s previous shadows.
