What’s that old expression? “Fool me once…” Royal & Langnickel is on their second strike with me and I’m unsure whether or not they deserve a third chance at bat. The C140 (also called the BC140) Silk Bronzer Brush is almost as useful as a trap door in a canoe. Literally unusable as a makeup brush, from the moment I took this out of the package it began shedding. I’m not talking about a few hairs here and there either (the photos you see are about ARE NOT “done up,” that is ACTUALLY what the thing looks like all the time). I’ve never seen a brush shed this much!

Even if it wasn’t loosing it’s hairs faster than a fart in a windstorm, the bristles on the C140 are so flimsy and loosely packed that it just doesn’t work to buff anything into the skin. You’d have better luck running around in circles, hoping the wind pressure against your face blended out your bronzer.

At least the BC142 (which I reviewed here) has potential to be of use for SOMETHING… though I haven’t figured it out yet.

My Sigma brushes did the exact same thing. I think I’m the only person it’s happened to seeing as no one complains, but I HATE using them to do my makeup.

Send it back and buy some glitter ^_^

I got a Royal and Langnickle synthetic set from IMATS and I really like it. Not one brush has shed and they’re so soft and magical. I’m sorry you’ve had bad luck. Maybe try the synthetic brushes? :(

Ewww Royal & Langnickel suckkkkkkkkkks. I’ve tried 2 brushes by them and they both fell apart…and FORGET cleaning them…it looks like you bathed a dog in your sink. I’ll stick with my tried and true MAC and Sigma brushes <3

On a side note…this post made me LOL for real. :D

Have you tried KIM brushes? I was sent a couple to review and they’re surprisingly good. Kind of along the same lines as Royal and Langnickel in that they’re made by a company that originally made artists paintbrushes….only they don’t suck.
